Green house cleaning is important to reducing pollutants in your home.
Did you know that according to the EPA “Indoor air pollution is among the top five environmental health risks” to your family?
These indoor pollutants come from particulate matter sources such as dust mites, molds, bacteria and viruses, as well as “Gaseous pollutants” found in many commercial cleaning products.
Green cleaning is also important for the environment.
Green cleaning involves not only making sure that the cleaning products used are safe for your health, but that they are safe for the environment as well. For Kitsap Clean, this means that we use cleaning products and equipment that are non-toxic and produced using sustainable methods.
Green cleaning can be more financially sustainable.
Green cleaning does not need to be expensive. Although store bought green cleaners may be more expensive (and possibly less effective) than traditional cleaners, you can save a substantial amount of money by creating your own cleaning solutions at home. And you will have peace of mind knowing exactly what the ingredients are in your cleaning solutions when you make them yourself. Products We Use
It is very important to us that we only use cleaning products that are safe for you and your family members. Although we make many of our own cleaning products (using ingredients such as vinegar, baking soda and essential oils), we also use a few commercial products as well.
Here are some of the commercial cleaning products we may use to clean your home:
- Eco-Orange All Natural Cleaner. Eco Orange is an all-natural, all-purpose, safe and effective cleaner. It has no dyes, phosphates, butyl, toxins, acids, caustics, bleach, ammonia, or solvents and has never been tested on animals.
- Bon Ami Polishing Cleaner. A vegan, plant-based cleaning agent made from coconut and corn oils, feldspar, limestone, soda ash and a touch of baking soda. Is hypoallergenic and uses no chlorine, perfume, or die.
- Ecover Cleaners. We use their toilet bowl cleaner made from plant and mineral based ingredients, including pine essential oil. Ecover’s bottles are also made from 100% plant plastic and are 100% recyclable. Their products are safe for septic systems and never tested on animals.
- Earth Friendly Products. We use their furniture polish made with essential oils of olives and oranges. Their cleaning products are ammonia-free, phosphate-free, chlorine-free, glycol and glycol ether-free, enzyme-free, dye-free, and free of petroleum ingredients. Also, they are never tested on animals.
In addition, we use natural sponges, pumice stones and a cloth based mop system for our cleaning. We also use HEPA filtered vacuum cleaners to help reduce any allergens you may have in your home.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the products we will be using in your home.
